Pedahuluan kata:
Apakah itu Potret? Potret adalah lukisan, gambar, ukiran atau apa jua jenis karya seni di mana tujuannya adalah untuk menampakkan wajah dan
mimik serta ekspresi seseorang (lebih kurang lah).
Matlamatnya adalah untuk menunjukkan rupa dan wajah serta perasaan (malah mungkin juga keperibadian) orang tersebut.
Sebuah potret biasanya menunjukkan subjek yang dirakam melihat tepat ke arah pelukis atau jutufoto untuk meruntun tindakbalas dari penonton (samada perasan suka, duka, terkejut, marah dan seumpamanya).
